Police: Suspect car not linked to similar kidnap attempts

There is no likely connection between the red car associated with the kidnapping of Sierra LaMar and a vehicle reported in relation to similar attempts in other communities, authorities said.

At the age of 91, Juven Ortiz left this world peacefully surrounded by his loving famly. He is survived by his daughters Cristina (James) Martinez, Kylan, Sydney, Zoe, and Aubrey Martinez, Catalina (Dennis) Lemos, Morgan, Sofia, and Laci Lemos, Carina ( Rob) Freeman, Chase and Faith Freeman, his son Michael Ortiz, daughters Martha McKim and Rose Ortiz, and son Rick Ortiz. He is also survived by his brothers Paul Ortiz, Ruben Ortega, and Jess Ortega and his sister Mercedes Torres as well as a large extended family here and in Mexico.

DA’s office wants Kuburovich’s home kept for restitution

A court order will thwart Gilroy resident and real estate grand fraud suspect Batzi Kuburovich from selling his home, should he decide to put it on the market – thus keeping the property “subject to preservation for the purposes of (victim) restitution,” according to Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Victor Chen.
