HONORS: Thomas Walsh: Air Force Airman Thomas Walsh graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The woman who embezzled more than $50,000 from the Rod Kelley Elementary School parent club more than 10 years ago violated her probation by failing to make monthly payments and must appear Tuesday at the Hall of Justice in San Jose.

A Gavilan College MESA student earned the MESA Undergraduate Scholarship from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Alicia Ornelas-Stevens was one of 12 MESA community college students to win a $1,000 award. Alicia will be transferring to UC Davis in the fall 2013 semester. She is majoring in computer science.
