Dear Editor,

First, it’s hard to believe people who defend the president. They just don’t seem to get the message when they know he is a big part of the blame. Even he feels guilty about the response. No matter what you think happened in the first 72 hours after the disaster, he didn’t send troops to restore order. This was his fault the cavalry never showed up.

Second it is true and a fact that poor black people in this free country of ours are still the subject of discrimination. This is not the first time they have been forgotten.

Third, everybody is asking where the money is going to come from for the rebuilding of New Orleans, Alabama and Mississippi. That’s easy. It will come from the same people who are getting ripped off by the big smear machine of the Republican party – the poor and the middle class.
