Alice Catherine Carter

Alice C. Carter passed away at the age of 79 in Hollister, Sunday morning. Born in San Mateo County, grew up in Burlingame and had become a long time resident of San Jose. She had been an executive secretary for several companies in Santa Clara County for many years.

Gordon R. Rondy

Gordon Rondy passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 85 at Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Michigan, coming to Hollister in 1945 where he had spent most of his life. Gordon had served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Member of the Hollister Elk's Lodge and the V.F.W. Post 9242 of Hollister. Gordon was an electrician having worked for Enterprise Electric in Hollister for nearly 40 years.

Surrounded by family, Mary passed away peacefully last Saturday afternoon at the age of 81. She lived in Gilroy most of her life. She is survived by her daughter Martha and her son Basil. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St., Gilroy on Thursday, June 10th, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. Livio (Lee) Liberatore

Our beloved Lee was born on August 13, 1967, in Canada, and sadly passed away on June 3, 2010, at his home in Gilroy, CA where he had resided for 13 years. Lee was the most wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 14 years, Sandi Liberatore and their precious and beautiful gifts; their children Jacob, Noah, and Emily.

Preceeded in death by his first wife, Joann and his son, Michael. Step-father of Dennis Spence(Kathleen) of Washington. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bernice Marie Lanini

Long time Hollister resident Bernice M. Lanini passed away at her Ridgemark Residence on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, at the age of 93 years. Bernice was a native of Redwood City, and moved to Hollister as a child with her parents Attilio and Venuta Guerra. She was a graduate of San Benito High School. Bernice was a homemaker most of her life; a member of Sacred Heart Parish; belonged to The Swiss Club and enjoyed attending their functions in Greenfield. "Working in her garden was her number one activity", said her daughters; in addition to the time she spent with her grandchildren, helping others who need assistance, traveling throughout Europe and Alaska, baking cookies in her spare time, and attending the cooking classes at the former Dorothy McNetts's.

Fay Mildred Hissim

Fay Mildred Hissim, 84, passed away Friday, June 4th, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Meridian, ID. Fay was born 6th of 9 children at home in West Brookfield, MA, the daughter of Paul and Louise Buzzell. Fay grew up on a dairy farm and attended a one-room school in West Brookfield then graduated from high school at Warren, MA. She attended Boston University for a short time. She graduated Western Union School at Washington, NJ as a telegrapher in 1944. The day after graduation she met her life-long love, PFC Marlin Andrew Hissim. They were married on July 1st,1945 and resided in several different cities during their marriage including Oxford, NJ, Los Gatos and Gilroy, CA, and Boise, ID.
