Martin (Marty) M. Mullins, age 92, died at Windsor Chico Care Facility, Chico, Ca, on Friday, October 24, 2008, after battling the effects of Alzheimer's disease for over eight years.
Entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. She is survived by her loving parents, Steve and Martha, brother Martin, sister-in-law Deanna, brother Michael, sister Marcella, brother-in-law Mark, niece Christina, nephews Robert, Gabriel and family. Margaret will be greatly missed. A potluck memorial celebration to honor her life will be held on Saturday, 11/8/08 at 1:00 P.M. at San Martin Country Park, 13865 Monterey Road, San Martin, CA. Robert L. Bacon was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Bac attended Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) where he met Margaret Jane Van Epp. After graduation from Miami University, Bac enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he quickly learned to fly, and was promoted to flight instructor.
January Ellen Norman - beloved daughter of Marietta and Donald Norman, beloved mother of Alana Alcini, and sister of Judy Norman - passed away of a terminal illness on October 22, 2008 at 6:25 P.M. She went to be with her grandmother, Nellie Demee, in heaven. Born January 24, 1956 in Washington D.C., Jan moved to Morgan Hill with her family in 1971. Jan graduated in 1974 from Live Oak High School and loved all that California had to offer including snow skiing, water skiing, camping and fishing. Jan was full of life and always loved to help others. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Her ashes will be spread over Half Dome in Yosemite National Park at a later date.
Passed away October 10, 2008. He is survived by his mother Aliene Cristino and predeceased by his father Nicholas Cristino. He is also survived by his two daughters and one son, Gina Delbruegge, Gary Cristino and Carla Cristino, son-in-law Don Delbruegge, grandchildren, Michael and Nicole Delbruegge and Rudy Sanchez. He was a longtime resident of Gilroy.
Thomas L. Maloney, 87 of Gilroy. Tom was born in Syracuse, Missouri on October 21, 1921 and passed away October 20, 2008. He was a WWII veteran serving in the European theater and later was in the California National Guard.
Flora B. Carter, loved dearly by her family, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2008 at her home in Gilroy at the age of 90. Flora spent the last 55 years of her life in Gilroy with her beloved husband of 65 years, Harmon Carter, who predeceased her in 2005. She worked and retired in Gilroy as secretary of Brownell Elementary School.She loved to cook and entertain. She loved to play cards with her friends and she loved her grandchildren. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Joanne Churchill, her son and his wife, Tom and Claudia Carter, her 5 grandchildren, Jana, Winston, Jodi, Andrea and Tommy, her 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at her home at 7380 Crews Rd, Gilroy, Ca on Sunday October 26, at 1:00 P.M. Donations in Flora's name may be made to Odyssey Health Care or the Alzheimer's Assn.
