Four letters, including “A heartfelt plea for the city”

A heartfelt plea for the city to make sure that the Gilroy Center for the Arts stays open and vibrant

Letter: Keep the Gilroy Center for the Arts open and vibrant

Dear Editor, I am writing on behalf of the Gilroy Arts Alliance/Center for the Arts. This place has really been a great new place for me to be a participant in the Gilroy Community. I feel it has given me purpose, as I volunteer and enjoy all the center has to offer.

Letter: Two ridiculous answers on decommissioned GPD gun

Dear Editor, I wish, when you published the comments by the Clown Patrol (Community Pulse), you would name who made the statements. The anonymity protects the fools from standing out. Regarding the decommissioned Gilroy Police Department pistol non-issue, two of the comments by said patrol were so laughable they merit feedback.

Letter: America needs a new political party

America needs a new political party, nothing’s going to change unless citizens hold Congress accountable

Letter: Put Gilroy’s downtown on the historical registry map and make history come alive

Put Gilroy’s downtown on the historical registry map and make history come alive

Letter: Why are the rules being for Muslim center in San Martin?

Dear Editor, I want to know who gave Ann Peden the authority to waive rules and laws of the World Health Organization and override rules and regulations from the Santa Clara County Planning Department, Fire Department and other county departments.

Letter: City should give the arts center a break via a zoning exemption

Dear Editor, As the Gilroy Center for the Arts flourishes on its diverse art and multicultural activities, it is now potentially grounded by the restrictions of zoning as a retail center from the old Salvation Army site.

Letter: Broken-hearted mother pleads for help and justice for her son

Dear Editor, My name is Rosalie deVries. I have been a local resident since 1951. My son, Jeremy deVries, 31, has also been a long time resident. The purpose of my letter is not only an urgent appeal to generate critically needed funds to retain private counsel in a horrendous plight we are facing, but also, to bring to your attention, to a 21st century atrocity taking place within our judicial system at the Superior Court in Morgan Hill.

Letter: Gilroy soldier helps educate the students in Afghanistan

I would like to share the following story about the humanity of war and the hearts of our soldiers in Afghanistan. Through all the bad they still made time to do good.
