Chad Hartman also scored his first goal of the season. Mitchell Kramer, Andy Hernandez and Wally Meier had strong games. Goaltender Josh Wheat made several stops in net.

U8 Girls

Blue Angels 0

– Fabulous goal-keeping by the duo of Emma Morley and Caitlyn Svardal held the home team scoreless. At the other end of the field, the Cheetah’s offense dominated with strong performances from Annie Lopez and Madrea Arlia. The teams strong passing skills proved to be the key to victory this week.

White Lightning 3

Yellow Sharks 2

– The Sharks scored the first goal of the game, but beautiful teamwork by Lightning’s forward line of Kiara Santamaria, Emma Leach, and Crissy Simpson resulted in a goal from Simpson to end the half tied at one. In the second half, Lightning’s Tenley Holland and Rachel Thompson each played impressively in the goalkeeper position, stopping numerous Shark attacks. Simpson scored again for the Lightning, followed by a full-field drive by Emily Barham – resulting in the Lightning’s third goal. In a last-minute surge, the Sharks scored a final goal.

U10 Girls

Red Demons 7

Green Snakes 0

– Demon goalies Alex Rengal and Alli Unger saw little action in the goal box thanks to defenders Jennifer Velasquez, Francesca Comin and Ashley McDermott and their constant blocking of the Snakes’ attack. Forwards Lauren Block and Giordan Rojas each scored two goals for the Red Demons. During the second half, Kate Wheat broke away with the ball and scored and then Francesca Comin kicked a beautiful shot over the goalie’s head to score. Ashley McDermott scored the final goal of the game with a shot from the side. The girls demonstrated the skills they have been practicing – good passing, maintaining positions and constant pressure.

U14 Girls

Rambunctious Red 1

She Devils 3

– Carissa Pierotti anchored the Red defense – block several forward kicks of the She Devils. Jennifer Rose scored for the Rambunctious Red with teammate Brandie Rodriguez registering the assist. Christine Camacho, Erin Chan, Katie Whittaker, and Hannah Fioro battled to keep the She Devils from scoring several times, while netminder Amy Fortino made several saves. The Red trailed by only a goal at the break. During the second half, teammates Kaitlin Muraoka, Majesta Campbell, and Leanna Fissel fought hard to keep the She Devils from extending their lead, and goalie Hannah Fior made three key saves.
