in lewd acts with at least four minors.
The Gilroy Police Department has arrested a man they say engaged in lewd acts with at least four minors.
Gilroy resident Enrique Rivas, 61, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. March 7 near the intersection of Chestnut and Ninth Street on warrant of charges for sexual misconduct against multiple children.
According to the Gilroy Police Department, charges filed against Rivas include lascivious acts on a child, oral copulation, sexual penetration and sexual penetration with a foreign object.
GPD Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said the case was referred to GPD detectives for investigation prior to Rivas’ arrest.
“During the investigation they determined that Mr. Rivas had engaged in lewd acts with at least four different victims over a range of 15 to 20-years-old,” he said.
Gallacinao said Rivas is currently in custody.
