Gilroy police arrests

Parole hold

Joe Lampkin, 25, of Hollister, 1:39 p.m. Monday, near the intersection of Kern Avenue and First Street on a warrant.

Domestic battery

Giyasi Kwame Terran, 23, of the 7700 block of Laurel Drive, 3:51 p.m. Monday, at 1078 Monte Bello Drive on warrants for domestic battery and resisting or delaying an officer.

Robbery

Freddie Lee Goodrich, 33, of Hollister, 5:26 p.m. Monday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Public intoxication

Israel Chapa, 46, transient, 8:20 p.m. Monday, at 435 First St.

Other GPD incidents

Auto burglary

Stereos and audio equipment valued at more than $400 were stolen from several unlocked vehicles stored at Bracco’s Towing and Transport, 6730 Monterey Road, between 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Battery

A 16-year-old male was punched in the face about four to five times by two adult Hispanic males near the intersection of Church and 10th streets, 3:57 p.m. Monday. The assailants yelled gang-related phrases during and after the attack.

Petty theft

A wallet containing credit cards and medical cards was stolen from an unlocked 2001 Buick Le Sabre parked on the 7600 block of Church Street between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday.

Commercial burglary

Liquor was stolen from Del Sol Market, 7681 Monterey St., 7:27 a.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects broke the front glass door to get into the store.

Grand theft

A man had his wallet stolen by two male suspects outside Ross, 6715 Camino Arroyo, 3:34 p.m. Sunday. The victim was contacted inside the store by one of the suspects, who posed as a security guard and told the victim he had to go outside because he was suspected of shoplifting. Outside, the suspect was joined by another suspect, who took the wallet, told the victim to wait for police to arrive and fled.
