Petty theft

– Robert Joseph Mang, 27, of the 800 block of Fillipelli Drive, 11:38 p.m. Thursday, near the intersection of First and Eigleberry streets on a warrant.

Assault with a deadly weapon

– Richard Joe Mesa, 22, of the 8000 block of Carmel Street, 1:54 p.m. Thursday, at his residence for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

Possession of narcotics

– Rene Cummings, 21, no address given, about 2 a.m. Thursday, on the 6100 block of Monterey Road.

– A 16-year-old female, whose name and address police withheld because she is a minor, Thursday night, near the intersection of First and Eigleberry streets for possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics possession.

Other GPD incidents

Commercial burglary

– A demolition hammer was stolen from a vehicle parked behind a gated fence of Giacalone Electric, 6300 Monterey Road, between 5 p.m. Dec. 21 and 7 a.m. Wednesday

Residential burglary

– A woman came back to her home on the 1500 block of Calabrese Way and found a 6-foot, 170-pound male in her house, about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The man ran off through the back door. Police do not know whether anything was stolen.

Vehicle burglary

– Stereo, purse and miscellaneous items were stolen from a vehicle parked outside Gilroy Health & Fitness, 8540 Church St., about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

– A purse and miscellaneous items were stolen from a convertible parked on the 8300 block of Arroyo Circle. 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect or suspects ripped the canvas top of convertible to gain entry to the vehicle.

Attempted vehicle burglary

– The owner of a convertible returned to his or her car, parked at Gilroy Health & Fitness, 8540 Church St., and found someone trying to cut the canopy top of the vehicle, about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Auto theft

– Unknown objects were stolen from several unlocked cars being stored at Bracco’s Towing and Transport, 6730 Monterey Road, between 7 p.m. Monday and 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Grand theft

– A UPS box with digital equipment valued at $800 was stolen from the entryway of a house on the 7400 block of Eigleberry Street, between Dec. 21 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Identity theft

– An unknown person charged $400 onto a bank card belonging to a woman on the 8300 block of Glenwood Drive, between Dec. 18 and Thursday.
