The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week including continuous sexual abuse of a minor child, possession of a controlled substance for sale, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and driving under the influence. Arrests were recorded in this week’s GPD blotter from Nov. 4 through 11.
Sexual assault of a minor
-Garry Caspary, 45, on Nov. 11 at 12:36 a.m. on the 7700 block of Eigleberry Street for two counts of felony aggravated assault of a minor, felony sexual penetration by force, felony oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 years or younger, felony continuous sexual abuse of a resident child and lewd or lascivious act on a child under the age of 14.
Assault with a deadly weapon
-Meng Sreng, 38, on Nov. 10 at 4:22 a.m. near the intersection of Zuni Lane and Sunrise Drive for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
-Carlos Solorio, 29, on Nov. 10 at 4:45 a.m. on the 7400 block of Monterey Street for felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Burglary
-Kristin Love, 27, on Nov. 6 at 9:35 p.m. near the intersection of Camino Arroyo and the Pacheco Pass Highway for felony burglary in the first degree, felony conspiracy to commit a crime, petty theft of personal property, unlawful display or possession of fraudulently obtained identification card and possession of burglary tools.
Inflicting bodily injury on spouse
-Christopher Schoepe, 49, on Nov. 10 at 1:50 p.m. for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Multiple charges
-Beatrice Rodriguez, 20, on Nov. 4 at 4:20 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Chestnut streets for unlawful possession of paraphernalia, carrying an unloaded handgun in a vehicle, possession of burglary tools and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
-Agustin Carrillochacon, 30, on Nov. 4 at 5:05 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Chestnut streets for driving with a suspended license, failure to present evidence of registration, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and carrying an unloaded handgun in a vehicle.
-Cesar Resendiz, 19, on Nov. 6 at 2:46 p.m. on the 9000 block of Kern Avenue for felony false imprisonment, felony assault by means of a firearm and felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
-Jesse Valdez, 39, on Nov. 6 at 10:20 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for felony burglary in the first degree, felony conspiracy to commit a crime and five outstanding warrants for unlawful or malicious removal or obstruction of a phone’s ability to summon emergency services, infliction of bodily injury on spouse or cohabitant, false imprisonment, willful disobedience of a court order and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime to law enforcement.
-Daniel Burns, 30, on Nov. 7 at 7 a.m. near the intersection of Church and Tenth streets for felony possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear and driving without insurance.
-Juan Olmedo, 35, on Nov. 7 at 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of IOOF Avenue and Monterey Road for two counts of battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend and disorderly conduct.
-Michael Oliveira, 44, on Nov. 9 at 5:10 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for six outstanding warrants including selling or aiding in the sale of stolen property, probation violation, driving when privileges suspended or revoked, driving with expired registration, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility and failure to show registration upon demand.
-Fortino Ayala, 20, on Nov. 10 at 5:52 p.m. near the intersection of Eigleberry and Eighth streets for vandalism (between $5,000 and $50,000 in damages) and battery.
-Johnnie Duarte, 25, on Nov. 11 at 12:43 a.m. near the intersection of San Miguel Street and Santa Barbara Drive for petty theft of personal property and four outstanding warrants including vandalism, disturbing the peace, willful disobedience of a court order and contempt of court.
-Jessie Gonzalez, 44, on Nov. 11 at 12:47 a.m. near the intersection of Mantelli Drive and Church Street for violation of a protective order, being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance and rearrest for probation revocation.
Theft
-Ryan Martinez, 30, on Nov. 4 at 3:05 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for petty theft of personal property.
-Ashley Ulloa, 19, on Nov. 6 at 6:15 p.m. on the 6700 block of Camino Arroyo for theft of personal property.
Probation violation
-Jatinderpal Singh, 41, on Nov. 5 at 5:30 a.m. on the 600 block of First Street for felony rearrest for probation violation.
Driving violations
-Hassan Alhadi, 27, on Nov. 6 at 4 a.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for driving with suspended privileges and text messaging on a wireless device.
-Tyler Lewis, 20, on Nov. 6 at 9:58 p.m. near the intersection of Mantelli Drive and Hirasoki Avenue for exhibition of speed.
Violation of protective order
-Alex Espinoza, 29, on Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. for violation of a protective order.
Driving under the influence
-Theresa Villalobos, 31, on Nov. 7 at 3:28 a.m. on the 400 block of Leavesley Road for driving under the influence.
-Fernando Barajas, 39, on Nov. 8 at 9:15 p.m. on the 900 block of Renz Lane for felony DUI with multiple convictions within 10 years and driving on a suspended license.
-Mario Ortiz, 26, on Nov. 8 at 10:41 p.m. near the intersection of Martin and Forest streets for DUI, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and hit and run.
-Alberto Cortesortiz, 18, on Nov. 10 at 6:41 p.m. near the intersection of Murray Street and Adams Court for DUI, hit and run with property damage, driving while unlicensed and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.

Sanity issues
-Sharon Taylor, 67, on Nov. 11 at 10:10 p.m. on the 900 block of First Street for four felony counts of a sanity issue.
