A burglar or burglars entered a residence on Second Street
through a detached garage and stole 17 rifles and shotguns and
ammunition with a total value of $19,840 from a gun safe, between
1:30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 30. Included in the items stolen were a
Weatherby Mark 5 rifle with scope valued at $2,500, a Winchester
Model 61 rifle valued at $1,600 and more than 70 boxes of
ammunition.
Residential burglary
A burglar or burglars entered a residence on Second Street through a detached garage and stole 17 rifles and shotguns and ammunition with a total value of $19,840 from a gun safe, between 1:30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 30. A burglar or burglars entered a residence on Rancho Hills Drive through a cut screen and unlocked window and took various DVDs valued at $3,000, a dress watch valued at $500, a silver Cybershot digital camera valued at $400 and a silver car key valued at $100, 9:59 p.m. Dec. 30.
A burglar or burglars entered a residence on Woodworth Way by breaking a rear bedroom window and ransacked the house, between 1 and 4 a.m. Jan. 1. The burglar or burglars placed items in a red 1999 Ford F250 located in the garage and used it as a get-away vehicle. Some of the items stolen or damaged include a surround sound stereo system valued at $1,800, miscellaneous jewelry valued at $5,000 and an IBM computer valued at $1,000.
As a woman was entering her home on Willow Court, she saw a window had been forced open and could hear people inside, 9:39 p.m. Jan. 1. The burglars fled while the woman called police. A white 1992 Honda Civic, later reported stolen, was found parked to the side of the house.
A minor was arrested after taking a BMX bicycle from Sunrise Drive, 4:19 p.m. Dec. 5. The bike was later recovered.
Missing juvenile
A 16-year-old female was reported as a runaway by her foster mother on Mantelli Drive, 12:47 a.m. Dec. 30.
A chronic runaway was reported on Victoria Drive, between 11 a.m. and 4:38 p.m. Dec. 31.
A female got into an argument with parents on the morning of Dec. 31 and she left her home on IOOF Avenue without her parents’ knowledge. Other family members have talked with her but haven’t been able to locate her.
A juvenile left a Solana Drive residence and has not returned, 8:30 p.m. Jan. 1. The juvenile is a chronic runaway who usually returns after a couple of days.

A thief or thieves stole a blue 1979 Toyota from Monterey Street, between 9 p.m. Dec. 29 and 7 a.m. Dec. 30.
A thief or thieves stole a black 1995 Honda Accord, between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 29 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 30.
A thief or thieves stole a white 1997 Honda Accord from Moro Drive, 4:53 a.m. Dec. 31.
A person’s friend borrowed a white 2003 Suzuki on Honey Court but did not return it as agreed, 11 a.m. Dec. 30.

A man was assaulted while picking up his child at his ex-girlfriend’s house on First Street, 5:57 p.m. Jan. 1.
A case of mutual domestic battery was reported on Gurries Drive, 6:41 p.m. Jan. 3.
A man grabbed a woman by the hair and punched her multiple times in the face during an argument on Maple Street, 12:42 a.m. Jan. 4. She sustained several bruises to her face, neck, back and arms.

A unidentified person found a relative’s pistol on Parish Way, 9:35 p.m. Dec. 31. Police booked the weapon as evidence.

A thief in a burgundy Chevrolet pickup pulled up into the parking lot of Paul’s Paint & Custom on Murray Avenue and stole an auto racing wing valued at $650, between 12:45 and 1 p.m. Dec. 29. The wing is about four feet by four feet and has a sticker with the numbers “91” and the name of the business.
