Police are looking for a 28-year-old Gilroy man in connection with a late-night stabbing on Taft Court in east Gilroy.
Joe Manuel Salcido was identified by police as the suspect in the stabbing. He is wanted for attempted murder and is considered armed and dangerous.
When officers arrived about 8 p.m. Thursday, they learned the victim was taken to an area hospital. His wounds are not considered life threatening, police said.
The incident began when Salcido entered the residence in an apartment complex, looking for the victim, police said. Upon finding the man, a confrontation erupted, and the victim was stabbed. Salcido fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses said Salcido, a Hispanic male about 26 years old, was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
