Four late runs helped boost the Christopher softball team to a 7-5 win over Aptos Wednesday.
The Cougars took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second, but it was quickly erased by Aptos runs in the third and fourth to lead 3-2. The visitors scored two more in the top of the six, but Christopher answered with a run of its own in the bottom half of the inning.Â
Pati Soria led the Cougars with two hits and two RBIs in the game.Â
Christopher will be back in action at 4 p.m. today to host Sobrato.Â

Cougars breeze past Pioneer
Christopher trailed Pioneer by three heading into the bottom of the third, but the deficit didn’t last long.
The Cougars put up three runs in the bottom of the third, four in the fourth and three more in the sixth to cruise to a 10-3 win over Pioneer at home Wednesday.

Christopher (1-1) will host Evergreen Valley at Gavilan College at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the last preseason game. It opens league play at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Palma.
Mustangs fall to Santa Cruz
The Gilroy baseball team lost 5-4 to Santa Cruz Wednesday.
