PREP ROUNDUP: CHS volleyball upends GHS

Marcus Medina went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs, Jalynd Gallardo pitched a five-inning complete game, and Gilroy High’s baseball team rolled to a 16-3 victory at Everett Alvarez on Wednesday.

Bubba Lara and Ronnie Reed both went 2-for-3 for Gilroy, which improved to 7-1-1 overall and 5-0 in the Monterey Bay League.

 

BOYS LACROSSE

Nick Gulan and Jordan Padilla scored two goals each, but Christopher’s boys lacrosse team suffered a 10-5 home loss to Aptos on Wednesday.

Anthony Sammut also scored for the Cougars, who got one assist each from Yovany Jimenez and Dillon Romero along with 15 saves from goalie Kyle Vasquez.
