Woolf is Niners’ Club Champion
GILROY – The Gavilan Niners held their December Ace Day on Dec. 18 at the Gavilan Golf Course.
Ace for the month was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill, net 34. Second in the first flight was Opal Imprescia, Gilroy, net 35 and third was Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, net 35.
First in the second flight was Joan Webenbauer, Morgan Hill, net 35, who also had low putts for the day with 16. Second was Bette Post, Morgan Hill, net 38 and third was Phyllis Dollar, Morgan Hill, net 38.
On Dec. 4, ‘Beat The Pro Day’ was held and Carol Narvaez, Morgan Hill, and Phyllis Dollar, Morgan Hill, beat the pro with net 34s.
In November, short course was held at Mariners Point in Foster City and Joy Chalmers, Morgan Hill, placed second in her flight and Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill, place third in her flight.
The Club Champion winner for 2003 held in November was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill;’ Low gross was Donna Ashmore, Gilroy; and low net was Marlene Sherwin, Morgan Hill.
Ace of Aces winner for 2003 was Sylvia McGee, Morgan Hill.
The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday morning at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Tee time is 9 a.m.
