Regulators sting AVCP in 18-15 come-from-behind victory.
The Borrachos powered past VFW Bingo 22-14 Thursday to take sole possession of first place in the Men’s EE League at Las Animas Park.

Danny Melendez hit two singles in a 10-run fifth inning as the Borrachos (2-0) gained a one-half game edge over three clubs in the second-half pennant chase.

Robert Armendariz hit a home run and three singles for the victors. Tony Murrillo and Vic Arciniega added homers to the Borrachos cause. Dustin Robinson homered and Stephen Jeske went 4-for-4 for VFW Bingo (2-1).

The Regulators reached 2-1 with an 18-15 comeback over AVCP.

Steven Facio and Carlos Jimenez hit consecutive two-run doubles as AVCP scored seven runs in the third to take a 12-3 lead.

Trailing 13-10 after six, the Regulators pushed across eight runs in the seventh. Kenny Hopf hit a two-run triple, Nick Robinson a one-run triple in the rally.

Willie Weihmann produced four hits and scored four runs to propel Claddagh Brew Crew by the Good Ole Boys 21-12. Ray Guzman went 5-for-5 for the Good Ole Boys.

Rush Order rallied past the Big Kahunas 12-11 to take first place in the Co-Rec D League Sunday.

Danny Pequeno singled and scored on a one-out triple from Gabe Hernandez to pull Rush Order even at 11-11 in the bottom of the seventh. Mary Alba scored the winning run.

Jess Alonzo slashed a three-run triple with two out in the top of the seventh to give the Kahunas an 11-10 edge. Alonzo added a home run and two singles to the Kahunas cause. Pequeno added a home run, triple and single for the Order.

Michael Chavez went 5-for-5 and Ozzy Zamora went 4-for-4 to help SoCo Locos past Chili’s Grill & Bar 23-11. Emile Vargas homered and Joey Penafloe went 3-for-4 or Chili’s.

Gilbert Ramirez went 3-for-3 and Jimmy Castaneda homered to highlight a 12-10 Team Hair FX win over Here We Go Quickly. Nilo Velazquez homered and Tucker Baksa tripled, doubled and singled for the losers.

Blackout Window Tinting clinched at least a tie for the second-half Co-Rec C title Sunday with a 10-4 win over Hi-Energy Networks.

Jeff Wong lined four hits as Blackout moved to 4-0. Len Van Eck went 4-for-4 and scored three Hi-Energy runs.

Rodney Clore and AJ Martinez each hit two home runs as Gamers In Control defeated Out 2 Play 22-2. Barb Lemberger and Art Garcia each went 2-for-2 for Out 2 Play.

Willis Construction (3-0) rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to trim Los Guapos-EMC 19-18 in Men’s D play Friday.

Luis Gutierrez homered and scored four runs for Willis. Adrian Guzman went 5-for-5 for Los Guapos-EMC.

Erin Bass hit two homers to key a 15-12 Bike Center win over Team Hair FX, Marc Rodriguez went 4-for-4 for Team Hair FX (2-1).

Aaron Parker homered and Joe Garza tripled and doubled to lead Family Affair by Humboldt Brewing 13-7. Trevor Molynear tripled and singled for Humboldt.
