Feather Haven moved to 3-1 atop the Men’s Fall D Softball League standings Wednesday at Las Animas Park by trimming the Battle Brothers 12-11.
Trailing 10-9 after six, Feather Haven pushed across three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Phillip Alosi, Brett Scott and Kevin Cooper each delivered a base hit and scored in the rally. Jessie Nunez and Rob Rocha each finished with three hits for Feather Haven. Nate Mixter and Thomas Woods each went 3-for-3 for the Battle Brothers.
AG Construction also advanced to 3-1 by turning back the Players-HD Auto Glass 20-6. Ryan Dequin collected four hits for the Builders. Leon Lamson homered and singled for the Players.
Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors upset the Dirty Vatos 23-8 to leave both clubs at 2-2. Charlie Gutierrez and Tommy Razecca each went 4-for-4 and John Hagins homered for Freddie Sanchez. Mike Garcia, Brian Rudolfs and Jordan Skyler each scored two runs for the losers.
Kalai Kraze improved to 3-1 in Women’s League play with a 14-7 nod over Pops’ Gals Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park.
Alicia Noriega went 4-for-4 and Carissa Kozacek drove in four runs for Kalai Kraze. Maureen Hughes scored three runs and Shawna Snakenberg tripled and doubled for Pops’ Gals.
Corey’s Girls (3-0-1) played to a 12-12 tie with Station 55 (0-3-1). Corey’s Girls scored six runs in the top of the seventh to take a 12-11 lead. Corey’s scored four two-out runs. Stacey Schaffer doubled and scored the tying run in the Station 55 seventh. Liz Adams and Eva Neibel each went 4-for-5 for Corey’s Girls.
The Gilroy VFW Vets claimed first place (3-1) in the Men’s DD League standings Tuesday at Las Animas with a 17-4 victory over Prime Exterminators.
Mike Montenegro went 5-for-5 to lead the Vets offense. Gonzo Palafox doubled and singled for Prime.
The Borrachos (2-1) powered past Walton & Sons Masonry 19-4. Don Rose doubled and singled in an 11-run third frame for the Borrachos. Matias Franco and Armando Franco each homered in 3-for-3 showings for the winners. Willie Maquinalez went 2-for-2 and Ricardo Rascon scored twice for Walton & Sons.
Victory Outreach (2-1) stopped Franco Imports 19-9 as Nate Tenorio and Adrian Escalante each went 4-for-4. Abraham Rodriguez homered, tripled and singled for the winners. Gil Salgado went 4-for-5 and scored four Franco Imports runs.
