GILROY—Garlic City Computer stormed to a 7-0-1 record in the Men’s DD Softball League June 16 by upending the Borrachos 16-5 at Las Animas Veterans Park.
Tyler Maslanka and Jose Gamboa lined consecutive home runs in a seven-run fifth inning for the Computer squad. Gamboa finished with two homers, Jasper Dimas and Eddie Adame each had one apiece. Armando Uribe went 2 for 3 for the Borrachos.
Team Caley surprised the Bash Brothers 18-7 as Rob Silvia stroked two home runs and Tomas Carrillo went 4 for 4. Tyler Osbourne collected three hits for the Bash Brothers.
Co-Rec
Exlifestyles split a doubleheader Monday in co-rec play at Las Animas.
The Stylers came up with six two-out runs in the bottom of the seventh to trim Advanced Wheels 14-13. Angel Gamboa went 4 for 4 and Jose Gamboa homered for the winners. JR Hernandez collected three hits and scored two Wheels runs.
Last Minute topped Exlifestyles 14-10 in the nightcap behind two three-run homers from Art Garcia and Osbourne in the top of the seventh. Tyler Price went 3 for 3 for the Stylers.
Ryan Tapia drove in six runs with two homers and two doubles in a 15-0 Swingers nod over State Farm.
Women
Pops’ Gals snapped Unladylike’s winning streak at seven games June 17 at Las Animas with a 20-5 decision.
Bria DeLorenzo plated six Pops’ runs with four hits. Alicia Reese added four hits and scored four runs. Kathy Bennett garnered two hits and scored twice for 7-1 Unladylike.
The Dirty Diamonds needed four runs in the bottom of the final inning to defeat Just 4 Fun 21-20. Eryka Temores hit a two-run single to give the Diamonds the decision. Kendra Zaracyk hit a home run and three singles for Fun.
Wednesday E
The HD Auto Glass Players earned a two-game lead in the spring-summer league standings by outlasting Feather Haven 16-10 at Christmas Hill Park.
Jose Vasquez homered and Danny Granados produced a triple and double for the 6-2 Players. Scott Wilson and Travis Warner each went 4 for 4 for Feather Haven.
Bang a Pitch pushed across eight runs in the sixth inning on the way to a 15-13 verdict over Cold Pop. Zeke Lopez hit a two-run homer for the winners. Reggie Stanley and Richard Piona hit consecutive homers for Cold Pop.
Thursday EE
The Assassins reached 6-1 by defeating Ninja Sushi June 11 at Las Animas.
Rudy Maquinalez paced the Assassin charge with a homer, double and two singles. Mike Hernandez tripled and singled for Ninja Sushi.
Claddagh kept pace with the Assassins with a 17-6 nod over Gilroy Thunder. Jake Moreno, Matt Jimenez, Matt Figone and Dave Meacham hit Claddagh home runs. Billy Gocke went 3 for 3 for Thunder.
Mike Caragio and Sean Subia hit homers to pace VFW Bingo past New Hope Community Church 27-14. Jesse Barrajas went 5 for 5 for Bingo. Daniel Valdez, Chris Ortiz and Jesus Begines launched New hope home runs.
