Mountain Mike’s Pizza and All 4 Seasons Pet Services go back and
forth in thriller.
GILROY – Corey Casillas completed an eight-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning with a two-out, two-run home run to give Mountain Mike’s Pizza of Gilroy a 15-14 victory over All 4 Seasons Pet Services in Women’s Softball League play Wednesday.
All 4 Seasons responded to a 7-5 deficit after six innings by pushing across nine runs in the top of the seventh. Lily Wong keyed the scoring spree with a two-run single.
Andrea Garcia’s two-run single helped Mountain Mike’s Pizza (3-0) to net eight runs in the seventh inning. Ermalinda Garcia hit a run-scoring double to make it a 14-13 game. After a second out was recorded on a flyball, Casillas earned the win for the Pizza squad with a two-run blast.
Trudi Souza and Melissa Nicholson each went 4-for-4 for All 4 Seasons Pet Services.
Michelle MacVicar lined four hits to help Station 55 past Garza Sisters & Friends 23-12. Melanie Mikeska managed three hits for Garza Sisters.
Lugo Motors claimed first place at 3-0 in the Men’s CC League with an 8-7 squeaker over Fun Party Supply Wednesday.
Benny Cortez singled and scored on a Thomas Andrade single in the top of the seventh to pull Fun Party Supply into a 7-7 tie. An infield error and singles from Rob Spaulding and Paline Goins earned Lugo Motors the win in the bottom of the frame.
The Players-HD Auto Glass handed Heathen its first loss of the half, 7-6 at Christmas Hill Park.
Frank Duran homered and Johnny Burns lined a two-run double for the Players-HD Auto Glass. Zeke Lopez went 4-for-4 for 2-1 Heathen.
Team Wicked upset Mangia La Pizza 7-5 as Elias Madrid stroked a double and single. Johnny Benevidez hit a run-scoring single for Mangia La Pizza.
Gibby Gibson homered and Jorge Martinez went 3-for-3 and scored three runs to lift Anritsu past RSW Racing 16-10. Anritsu recorded a triple play in the fifth inning. Julian Santiago went 3-for-5 for RSW Racing.
The Hustlers reached 2-0 in the Co-Rec B League standings with an 11-5 victory over NorCal Regulators Tuesday. Kurt Gitmed and Mike Catangay hit Hustler homers. Mike Mendoza went 3-for-3 for NorCal.
KC Adams went 4-for-5 to propel JR’s Crew past Anritsu 15-5. Bobby Lopez and Ruben Sanchez each stroked four hits for Anritsu.
