GILROY – Mountain Mike’s Pizza claimed a slice of the first-half Women’s Softball League title Wednesday with a 16-7 win over Garza Sisters & Friends at Christmas Hill Park.
The Mountain Mike’s win, in combination with an All 4 Seasons Pet Services loss 23-12 to Station 55, created a two-team tie for the title. Mountain Mike’s will play All 4 Seasons on Wednesday at 8:50pm at Las Animas.
Monica Pantoja went 5-for-5 to pace Mountain Mike’s. Melissa Taku doubled and singled for Garza Sisters.
Stacey Schaffer went 5-for-6 to help Station 55 by All 4 Seasons Pet Services. Maureen Hughes homered in a 4-for-5 effort for the losers.
Team Wicked edged Players & HD Auto Glass 22-17 to finish in a tie for first in the Men’s CC League with Taqueria Del Sol at 5-1. Wicked and Taqueria played a tie-breaker Thursday for the first-half crown.
Toby Reyes and Isaac Almanza hit consecutive home runs to lift Wicked. Leon Lamson homered and scored four runs for Players.
Gibby Gibson hit two homers and Jeff Barnhouse slapped a homer and two triples to guide Anritsu past RSW Racing 29-13. Chris Velador went 3-for-3 for RSW Racing.
Zeke Lopez’ RBI-single in the bottom of the eighth gave Heathen a 10-9 nod over Lugo Motors. Berto Camacho homered for the winners, Rhino Souza and Mike Hernandez hit a double and two singles for Lugo Motors.
Trillo-Dee’z Nutz secured a one-game lead in the Men’s BB chase Monday with a 17-14 comeback win over Los Gigantes.
Los Gigantes used two homers from Jeremy Page and four Matias Franco hits to build a 14-2 lead by the fourth inning. Raul Gracia paced the Trillo-Dee’s rally with a 5-for-5 effort.
Dirty Dozen (4-0) maintained a one-half game edge in the Men’s C race Monday by topping Who’s Next 20-8. Justin Villa hit a two-run homer for the Dozen. Freddie Martinez homered and tripled for Who’s Next.
The Hit Crew (4-1) defeated This Is It 24-5 behind Tyler Maslanka’s cycle and a homer and three doubles from Marc Vegas. Roger Hernandez hit two homers for the losers.
Abel Marquez and Kyle Kretz each went 4-for-4 to help DS Builders by CSM 25-15. Rich Haun and Mitch MacVicar each went 4-for-4 for CSM.
Blackout Window Tinting finished a 6-0 march through the Co-Rec D first half with a 20-10 win over Chili’s Grill & Bar. Chris Wong hit two homers and two singles for Blackout. Breanna Romero and Raul Alvarez each went 5-for-5 for Chili’s.
Here We Go Quickly placed second at 4-2 with a 12-11 squeaker over SoCo Locos. Joel Torrez and Nilo Velasquez hit Quickly homers. Alex Zamora and Ozzy Zamora each went 3-for-4 for the Locos.
Andrew Mokras went 3-for-3 to lead Rush Order by Team Hair FX 9-5. Juan Arias doubled twice for Team Hair FX.
