Richard passed away on Sunday morning September 2, 2012, at their home in Hollister surrounded by family. He was born in San Jose, CA on July 20, 1930.
 Mr. Massa moved to Hollister after his retirement. He could no longer tolerate the traffic in San Jose. He played some golf, but mostly enjoyed traveling with his wife. He enjoyed taking cruises, and train and car traveling.
 Richard had five children and two step-children. He is survived by 12 grandchildren who he enjoyed, and great-grandchildren, too.
 The Graveside Service will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 11:00 A.M., 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road. San Jose, CA.
