State Route 25 will be closed for five days beginning Monday to repair the railroad crossing, according to California Highway Patrol.

At 7 a.m., patrolmen will shut down a small stretch of the route between the railroad tracks – just east of U.S. 101 – and Bloomfield Avenue. Road crews will replace a stretch of pavement going over the railroad tracks, which currently has several potholes. Route 25 will reopen at 6 p.m. Nov. 16.

Detours will exit motorists from U.S. 101 at Monterey Road and funnel them south on Old Bolsa Road. They will then turn south on Bloomfield Avenue and reconnect with route 25. Motorists heading the opposite direction will travel the detour in reverse.
