Tania Quintero and Rowdy Blythe were married on Oct. 16, 2010.
Tania, daughter of Rosalio Quintero Sr. and Lillian Silva, is a student at National American University getting a bachelor’s degree in business managment. She is a wedding minister.
Rowdy, son of Dale Blythe and Barbara Blythe-Harris, is a student at National American University getting a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is a tire technician.
The couple, who reside in Austin, Texas, were married at San Gabriel Park Flower Gardens, Georgetown, Texas, surrounded by close family and friends.Their wedding was performed by Rev. Marcey Duare, the bride’s cousin. Tania was escorted down the aisle by her two oldest children. A second reception will be held in Morgan Hill at a later date.

Mathew Vieira
Army Pfc. Mathew R. Vieira has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
He is the son of Helen Vieira of Hollister and a 2004 graduate of San Benito High School.
Charles Ransom
Army Pvt. Charles A Ransom has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
He is presently in Ft Gordon, Ga. for his AIT training.
He is a graduate of San Benito High School and his proud parents are David and Shari Stevenson of Hollister.
Louis Orozco
The Si Se Puede Learning Center of Gilroy Apartments would like to announce its student volunteer of October, Louis Orozco.
Louis is the son of David and Maria Orozco. He attends South Valley Middle School.
Louis has contributed more than 90 hours of volunteer service by helping younger students with homework, keeping the center clean and passing out snacks. He often arrives early before the program begins to finish his own homework so he can be available for the other kids. When asked what his desires are, he responded, “I want to spend my time being responsible with other kids.”
Bryan Gonzalez

Aaron Auffhammer
Air Force Airman Aaron N. Auffhammer graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Eric Auffhammer of Gilroy.
