Police Blotter: Recent arrests made in Gilroy and Morgan Hill

A 38-year-old San Jose man threatened to shoot and kill the
grandmother of his six children, who is the legal guardian of three
children, between 12 p.m. June 15 and 2 p.m. July 9, on the 200
block of Madrone Avenue in Morgan Hill.
Sheriff’s arrests

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Mario Cardoso, 22, of Gilroy, 11 p.m. Monday, near Pacheco Pass Highway and Frazier Lake Road.

Raquel Marie Munoz-Daniels, 31, of Gilroy, 9:10 p.m. Monday, on the 7100 block of Eigleberry Street.

Maria Aguilar, 42, of Hollister, 11:15 a.m. June 18, near Sutter Boulevard and Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill.

Christopher Villegas, 35, of San Jose, 2 p.m. July 1, near Bolsa and Monterey roads.

Anthony Barreras, 26, of Gilroy, 12:10 p.m. July 3, near Monterey and Bolsa roads.

Alicia Gomez, 35, of Morgan Hill, 1:30 p.m. June 26, on the 9600 block of Monterey Road for battery, identity theft and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Terrorist threats

Carlos Candelario Velasco, 25, of San Martin, 10:44 p.m. Saturday, on the 14400 block of Columbet Avenue in San Martin for making terrorist threats and brandishing a firearm. Velasco was arrested after approaching a male victim with a loaded shotgun.

False information

Sergio Ayala, 33, of Coalinga, 11 a.m. July 8, near New and Roop roads for giving false information to a peace officer and driving with a suspended license.

Trespassing

David Salvatorre DiSalvo, 19, of Hollister, 6:40 a.m. July 8, on the 13900 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin.

Domestic battery

Andrea York, 36, of San Martin, 1:30 a.m. June 26, on the 15200 of Venetian Way in Morgan Hill.

Cecilia Garcia, 22, of Hollister, 10 a.m. June 27, on the 12600 block of Monterey Road in San Martin for domestic battery and vandalism.

Jose Vitervo, 32, of Gilroy, 1 a.m. July 3, on the 900 block of Southside Drive for domestic battery, kidnapping and burglary.

Driving under the influence

Filemon Martinez, 37, of Gilroy, 12:32 a.m. June 27, near Columbet Avenue and Sherry Lane in San Martin for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Oscar Pena, 57, of Watsonville, 3:45 p.m. June 30, on the 23200 block of McKean Road in San Jose.

Domestic violence

Daniel Sosa, 43, of Calexico, 8:45 p.m. July 2, on the 900 block of Arizona Circle.

Vandalism

Manuela Martinez, 41, of Gilroy, 3 p.m. June 17, near Kern and Vickery avenues.

Possession of marijuana

Brian Ozanne, 28, of Morgan Hill, 5:16 p.m. June 3, near Monterey Road and Masten Avenue for possession of marijuana and illegal possession of a firearm.

Parole violation

Keith Ryser, 44, a transient, 9:30 a.m. June 20, on the 9600 block of Monterey Road.

Other sheriff’s incidents

Grand theft

A garden hose was used to siphon 100 gallons of diesel fuel from a remote Verizon Wireless cell site, between 2:30 a.m. and 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, on the 9700 block of Monterey Road in Morgan Hill.

Found stolen property

An empty cash register and receipts were found in an orchard at Christopher Ranch on the 300 block of Bloomfield Avenue, 7:45 a.m. Monday. Deputies determined that the cash register was stolen from McAlpine Lake and Park in San Benito County.

Vandalism to vehicle

A 19-year-old Morgan Hill woman is suspected to have used car keys to scratch a beige 1998 GMC Sierra truck after becoming jealous when she saw the owner of the vehicle talking to another girl at a house party, between 12:01 a.m. and 1 a.m. Saturday, on the 3400 block of Roop Road.

Assault and battery

A male victim was assaulted by a Gilroy man, 9:33 p.m. Friday, on the 1500 block of Rucker Avenue. The victim said his assailant punched him in the face and threatened him with a machete.

Death threats

A 38-year-old San Jose man threatened to shoot and kill the grandmother of his six children, who is the legal guardian of three children, between 12 p.m. June 15 and 2 p.m. July 9, on the 200 block of Madrone Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Identity theft

A female Verizon Wireless customer was notified by a collection agency that she was delinquent on an AT&T phone bill for $227.38. Not an AT&T customer, the woman realized her personal information was used to obtain an account between Sept. 1, 2007 and Jan. 1 on the 2000 block of Roop Road.

Residential burglary

Two thousand dollars was removed from beneath the bed of a home on the 12400 block of Sycamore Avenue in San Martin, between 12 p.m. June 1 and 10:35 a.m. July 9. Deputies found no signs of forced entry.

Recovered stolen vehicle

A 1981 white Chevy flatbed stolen out of San Benito County was found missing a battery and with its windshield smashed, 7:30 a.m. July 9, near Highway 25 and Bloomfield Road.
