A grass fire in the 3900 block of East Dunne Avenue burned about three acres before it was extinguished.
The fire, reported at 5:50 p.m., Monday, was contained about 8 p.m., and was completely extinguished by 10 p.m., said Cal Fire Captain Mike Borelli.
A total of 40 firefighters responded to the small blaze, the origin of which remains under investigation, according to Borelli.
“There were many reports coming in of the fire in the area,” Borelli said, adding that no injuries were reported and no homes were threatened.
The South Santa Clara County Fire Protection District provided three personnel on one fire engine to the effort.Â
