GILROY—There’s been a lot of changes on the Gavilan soccer team over the offseason, but it has its eyes fixed on the future.

It's been a year to remember for former San Benito High and Gavilan College standout Paige Miguel.

GILROY — Among the hoards and within the wafting aroma of literally tons of garlic were athletes and coaches who see and smell it all as the revenue of a new season.

GILROY—When searching for a place to continue her education, it looked as if Priscilla Orona would have to choose between her major—nursing—and playing softball. But after a lot of research and deliberation she found a way to do both.

GILROY—Though football season may seem far off in the distance, Gavilan coach Spencer Gilford is wasting no time preparing his team—and there is a lot of work to be done.

GILROY—Gavilan ace Paige Miguel is moving from one championship team to another.

GILROY—While Jessica Stofer could have left Gavilan last year when she did the math, staying with the Rams just made sense.
