It's a season anew in more ways that one for the Gilroy High boys varsity soccer team. 

SOCCER: GHS girls upend CHS in season opener

Crosstown foes Gilroy High and Christopher High opened the 2011-12 girls soccer season against each other Monday with the Mustangs prevailing, 7-0. 

BASEBALL: Gilroy High equipment stolen from clubhouse

Newly hired Gilroy High baseball manager Jared Gamble won't lead the Mustangs onto the diamond until spring, however his stint with the team will begin with replacing equipment that was stolen from the teams' clubhouse.
