Soccer: San Benito boys get first league win over Christopher
Throughout the first eight games of the year, the San Benito boys soccer team had trouble finishing and putting away teams. Against Christopher on Tuesday, the Balers did just that in a 3-0 win. After a back and forth first half, where neither team could score despite constant pressure on both sides of the field, San Benito took control in the second half.
Christopher drops Gabilan opener to Salinas
SALINAS—Christopher couldn’t get anything going offensively against Salinas and ultimately fell 35-3 to open Gabilan Division play.

BASKETBALL: CHS girls play Watsonville in MBL postseason tourney tonight
The Monterey Bay League regular season champion Christopher High girls basketball team plays tonight in the semifinals of the MBL postseason tournament against Watsonville at Pajaro Valley High. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30.
