Kaylah Grant and Logan Flores were on opposite ends of the emotional spectrum in last Friday’s Central Coast Section Track and Field Championships at Gilroy High School.
For the second straight year, Gilroy played host to the Central Coast Section track and field semifinals and the local athletes stepped up to the occasion.
Christopher had clawed its way back into the game against Gilroy, tying the game with three runs in the fifth and two more runs in the seventh but it was the Mustangs who got the big hit.
It was a meet to remember for the Gilroy High and Christopher High track and field teams in last Friday’s Monterey Bay League Pacific Division Championships. The Mustangs—competing in the comfortable confines of their own facility—placed first in the boys team competition and second in the girls competition to Christopher.
