Emily Barham was the lone victor, winning in two sets 6-4, 6-4. The doubles pair of Sara Blawski and Minna Wu kept their match close, before ultimately falling in to sets 7-5, 6-4. The Cougars were playing without the services of two of their normal varsity starters, but coach Patrick McBrearty said that it was a taste of what some of his JV players could expect from the next level. "The good thing is it gave some of the other CHS players a chance to get into the competition," he said.
