Bookstore, located at 8060 Santa Teresa Blvd.
GILROY – Station 55 Restaurant announced an upcoming cooking demonstration to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Wize Owl Bookstore, located at 8060 Santa Teresa Blvd.

The public is invited to view the techniques of renown local chef Timothy Ralphs as he prepares several mouth-watering artichoke dishes. For participants who wish to duplicate the dishes at home, selected cookbooks featuring the recipes will be available at the bookstore.

Ralphs, executive chef at Station 55 Restaurant in Gilroy, studied at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Paris and has served at many fine restaurants in Europe, as well as under James Beard Award winning chefs Cory Shreiber of Wildwood Restaurant in Portland and Alex Stratta of Renoir in The Mirage, Las Vegas.

Before coming to Gilroy, Ralphs served as the acting executive chef at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite.
