GILROY – Techron rallied past the Warriors 52-44 Wednesday as Men’s Adult Basketball Program play continued at Solorsano Gymnasium.

The Warriors, 1-1 in the eight-team league, stormed to a 14-6 lead midway through the first half. Four baskets by Frank Tomasetti helped Techron (1-0) cut the margin to one points, 19-18, by halftime.

Mark Taylan, player-manager for Techron, ignited the comeback in the second half by hitting five three-pointers in the final 13 minutes. Taylan took game scoring honors with 18 points, Tomasetti trailing with 14. Frank Palacios produced 15 points, Arnold Tellez 10 for the Warriors.

Valerie Smith Intero, the defending league champion, opened play by outlasting Hard Ninety 56-49.

Jonathan Mixter struck for nine points in the first seven minutes of action and led the Realtors with nine points. Mark Cisneros and Marcos Barbosa each scored eight points apiece, Nathan Mixter and Kevin Steele seven each. Sig Reynisson hustled to 21 points, Joe Wortham 12 and Roger Hernandez 10 for Hard Ninety (0-2).

GC Farms is 1-1 after a 38-30 decision over the Gilroy Bulls.

Cliff Donnett popped in 17 points from the perimeter and Daniel Crowe worked inside for 14 for GC Farms. Christopher Biblaeff managed eight points, Sean O’Neill six for the Gilroy Bulls. GC Farms led 20-16 at the half.

South Valley Disposal is 2-0 after a 43-34 victory over Crunch Time Monday.

Donnie Gooding provided 13 points, Robert Rodriguez nine for the Disposal offense. Tucker Baksa led the Crunchers with 10 points, Jason Wolowitz good for eight.

Melanie Corona and Marisa Taylan each scored 15 points as Western Tree Nursery defeated Williams Dental Lab 48-34 in the Women’s League opener Monday at Solorsano Gym.

Amanda Bakker helped the Western cause with 10 points. Shante Mancera hit five 3-pointers on the way to 17 points for Williams Dental Lab. Julia Kuwada followed with eight points
