Conference North performers for the 2006 season. The Rams were
conference tri-champions.
Ten Gavilan College football players were named all-Coast Conference North performers for the 2006 season. The Rams were conference tri-champions.

On the defensive side, linebackers Jake Farotte and Anthony Vasquez; back Anthony Francis, and lineman Brett Brennan were cited. Offensively, linemen Clayton Johnson, Phil Leonard and Nick Kostielney; wide receiver Ellis Krout; running back Matt Perkins, and quarterback Will Kilday collected honors. San Benito High graduate Chuck Thompson of De Anza was among the defensive backs honored.

Meanwhile, Gavilan announced its football awards list.

Johnson received the Bud Ottmar Award; Dustin vertin received the Pat Knudsen Award; Farotte was Defensive Player of the Year; Leonard was Offensive Player of the Year; Kilday and Vasquez were Sophomores of the Year; Krout and Francis were Freshmen of the Year; Kevin Jones was Most Improved Player; Sam Moultrie was Most Inspirational Player, and Brennan, Vasquez, Johnson and Vertin were team captains.
