Who is Bill C. Jones? Who appointed him guardian of The

Dear Editor:

Who is Bill C. Jones? Who appointed him guardian of The Dispatch? Maybe he works for some other news organization. I think to be fair he should lay out his credentials to all the Gilroy citizens. I don’t think he needs to reveal any more of his views, though. Any dummy can see what he stands for.

I don’t mean to be a defender of The Dispatch but I don’t see The Dispatch as much of a right-wing publication. For truth in publication, I read a real right-wing magazine, Newsmax.com. Anyways, even if the publishers of The Dispatch were slanted to the right (which I doubt), it would be a drop in the bucket when compared to the overwhelming left-wing, liberal newspapers that dominate every city in the United States, most notably the San Jose Mercury News, the S.F Chronicle, the New York Times, the L.A. Times … and the list goes on.

Mr. Jones, you make some very outrageous accusations against The Dispatch, and I think you are not only in left field but that the majority of Gilroyans would agree with me. Even your buddy, Dennis Taylor, must be embarrassed by your rantings.

Mr. Jones, there is an election coming up in Gilroy. If you want the pulse of this community, watch who is elected mayor of this fine town. I guarantee it won’t be some far out angry liberal. The citizens of Gilroy have consistently voted in a parade of fine, decent-thinking, morally-upright people for their mayor. And I see that The Dispatch is giving equal space to all the candidates.
