Gilroy's Samantha Una Dia competes in the 100 meter hurdles during the Central Coast Section finals Friday.

Christopher High sophomore Allison Foster won the varsity girls 300-meter hurdles in 48.02 seconds and placed in three other events during the Avis Kelley Invitational on Saturday at Gilroy High.

Foster also was second in the 100 hurdles in 15.85, fifth in the triple jump at 32 feet, 7 inches and sixth in the long jump at 15-4 ¼.

Gilroy High senior Samantha Una Dia won the 100 hurdles in 15.75, and took fourth in the 300 hurdles in 50.93.

Christopher junior Kaelin Sylva claimed third in the pole vault at 9-0.

In the varsity boys meet, Gilroy senior Scott Vogel was second in the discus at 130-7.

Gilroy junior Jorge Murillo was third in the triple jump at 34-10 ½, fourth in the high jump at 5-6 and ninth in the long jump at 17-4 ½.

Gilroy sophomore Cesar Carranza finished fourth in the pole vault at 10-0.

Gilroy’s boys also shined in the frosh/soph category.

Mustangs sophomore Sean Kaufman was second in the 100 in 11.92 and second in the high jump at 5-2, fourth in the triple jump at 33-11 and fifth in the long jump at 17-2 ¾.

Gilroy freshman Jacob Una Dia won the 300 hurdles in 44.79, was second in the 65 hurdles in 11.09, took eighth in the 100 in 12.43 and was part of the 1,600 relay team that finished second in 4:05.58.

Gilroy sophomore Tim Van Horn won the high jump at 5-8.
