Training for bigger and better

Gavilan College women’s basketball announced the signing of four players to four-year universities. The playoff qualifying team did so thanks in no small part to the four players who helped solidify one of the stand out seasons for the Rams, but also helped to usher in a new group of freshmen who will take over the program next year as sophomores.
Two of them will be able to carry on their bond as teammates starting this winter as Demitra Kouretas and Eunice Kim both signed to play for Trinity International University in Illinois. TIU plays in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference within the NAIA.
Meanwhile, former Sobrato standout post player Hazel Hill will move on to play at Montana State University Northern out of Havre, Mont. MSU-Northern plays in the Frontier Conference within the NAIA. Finally, former Live Oak player Jocelyn Mendoza is shipping up to Boston to play for Fisher College out of the NAIA’s Association of Independent Institutions.
