Two assaults Sunday night may be related, police said. The first

baseball bat, then kicked in the abdomen and chest.

Eighth streets, where someone was hit twice in the head with a baseball bat, then kicked in the abdomen and chest. The male attacker fled. The victim was conscious but unresponsive when police arrived, and had a three-inch laceration on his forehead. The victim was taken by air ambulance to Valley Medical Center for treatment.
The second assault occurred at 7:54pm the same night at the intersection of Forest Street and Leavesley Road, where unknown suspects beat someone with their fists and a stick. No further information was available.
