New Year’s resolutions and willpower
Every year about this time, I write a list of New Year’s resolutions. It’s the usual stuff: Work out three times a week, cut back on coffee and alcohol, floss daily, relearn Spanish, watch less television, etc. I then put the list in the drawer of my bedside table, where it remains until I take it out a year later and laugh at my lack of progress.

Gilroy HS activities Oct. 28 – Nov. 6
It has been a busy last couple of weeks here at Gilroy High School! Last week was homecoming. Homecoming week at GHS is controlled chaos. During the week we had spirit days, float building, royalty, and a rally. Homecoming week came to an end on Friday, with a parade, football game, and announcement  of homecoming King and Queen (Brandon Boyd and Leilani Mah). The halftime was topped off by a great fireworks display as well. Â
