I thought I had seen it all in the last 12 years, but a new one just crossed my desk.

Sisters Nora and Delia Ephron took the book “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” by Ilene Bacmerman, added stories of friends and their own experiences and came up with a delightful production that hits home with most women and can tickle the funny bone of the guys in the audience. Sadly, Nora Ephron died a little more than two years ago and left an enormous library of plays and books, including “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle” and this play.

The wait is over. Regular readers, you know what I'm talking about. Although she made a fashionably late entrance, my niece arrived July 2. A tiny bundle of screaming fury, Brooklynn Elise made it immediately clear that she was not happy to exit the cozy confines of her home of the past nine months.

Got this from reader Kris: “I’m curious about the color of the new taco restaurant on First Street – who on earth approved it? It makes Mi Pueblo look subdued! Is the entire 64 count of Crayola colors on the approved city list for exterior colors?” Funny thing, got essentially the same email on the “new taco place on the corner of 10th and Monterey” so I’m not sure if there’s a new taco place patrol out there or what. Do know that the new taco place at 10th and Monterey is a colorful and welcome sight as far as I’m concerned. I’ve passed it almost daily going to and from the office and it’s been a weed infested, broken glass, crumbling, empty, rat hole mess for years. Paint it bright orange and put a pink bow on it as long as the paint’s fresh, the property is clean and the lights are on. As soon as it opens, I’m going for lunch.

Australian Nick O’Hern had the late shift for Thursday’s first round of the Frys.com Open and carved up the links, firing a 9-under par, 62 to claim the lead at San Martin’s CordeValle Golf Club.
