Molokai: The Hawaiian Island with gentle charm
When we think of Hawaii, Maui, Waikiki, Kauai and the Big Island come to mind: Stunning high rise buildings, dozens of outdoor activities – from surfing to sailing – with spectacular indoor entertainment in sophisticated night clubs that bring on visions of Las Vegas. Then there is Molokai: an idyllic 38 by 10 miles, a paradise with a little more than 7,000 laid back folks, of which about half are native Hawaiians. Summer Olympics lived up to host London’s promises
LONDON – In summing up London 2012, the temptation is to deliver a glowing eulogy. Such a discourse, filled with lofty expressions of praise, would reflect the ancient roots of the 17-day festival that ended here Sunday. The praise also would accurately reflect how London did in its third go-around as an Olympic Summer Games host.
GOLF: McIlroy dominates in winning PGA Championship
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Maybe it's premature to reserve his place on golf's Mt. Rushmore, but man, Rory McIlroy took a giant step in that direction Sunday at the Ocean Course.
