The Gilroy High boys volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League Valley Division with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-18) triumph over host Palma on Tuesday night.

It was the Mustangs (4-4 overall, 2-0 TCAL) second sweep of a league opponent in as many games.

Gilroy is back on the road Thursday at Salinas High. First serve is 6:30 p.m.

• The Christopher High boys volleyball team also moved to 2-0 in Valley Division play, defeating host Alisal in three sets, 25-15, 25-23, 26-24.

The Cougars host San Benito on Thursday night. That match will also start at 6:30 p.m.
