The Toreadors (14-6, 10-0 Tri-County Athletic League) remain in sole possession of first in the TCAL’s Coastal Division while the Mustangs (13-4, 9-1 TCAL) stay one game up on San Benito in the Valley standings.
A.J. Been posted a team-high 19 kills, shouldering the brunt of the offensive load in Baumgartner’s absence. The Mustangs received six kills from Lucas Gravell and five apiece from Robby Filice and Johnny Lester.
GHS resumes league action Thursday at 6:30 p.m. against Seaside in Gilroy.
