Wake Up America, Islam Breeds Violence and the Culture Clash is Coming
Dear Editor,
While Ms. Mary Silva in her letter of June 23 attempts to clarify the root of the ongoing conflict between the West and Islam, it appears that she is still trying to sweep the “elephant” of Islam under her self-manufactured “rug of love” woven from what she believes is common unity between Christians and Muslims around the “love of God.”
Unfortunately, Ms. Silva again omits the record of history and the very words of the Koran itself. While “moderate” American Muslims remain silent as a population to what their “fanatical” brethren do, the fact is that the Koran condemns the “moderates” as Muslim-wanna-bes, hypocrites and pretenders who do not obey the commands of their god and his messenger.
The Koran commands Muslims to kill (not embrace in love) infidels if they wish to join the faithful in Paradise: “When ye encounter the infidels, strike off their heads till ye have made a great slaughter among them, … And whoso fight for the cause of God … he will bring them into the Paradise (47:4-6).”
The fundamental, orthodox, true Muslims will continue to teach and pressure moderate Muslims towards obeying Muhammad’s commands to establish the rule of Islam, if necessary through the use of violence. Moderate Muslims in America and elsewhere only need to awaken to the actual call of the Koran, Hadith and Sira, to transform their faith and begin to use violence for Islam’s sake.
Unfortunately, it appears more and more that they are awakening, as evidenced by the fact that their violence is increasing along with the number of Muslims involved in violent activities. So Ms. Silva, no matter how you try to sweep the “elephant” under the rug of love, it just won’t fit. A clash of cultures is coming to America. Islam in power does not compromise with any other religion or culture. The sooner sensible Americans wake up to this fact, the safer all of us “infidels” will be.

$1 Per Ride for the VTA? Holy Tax Dollar, Batman, What a Bunch of Bull
Dear Editor,
If truth in advertising applied to VTA’s new “Screw our Community Bus Service” then wouldn’t their advertisement say the operating cost per ride is $1 plus the subsidy, which VTA’s Project Priority and Revenue Advisory Committee disclosed on 3/23/06 at Gilroy City Hall to be between $4.27/ride and $27.71/ride, and the capital and fixed costs are on top of that?
How do they get away with the lies?
