Anchorpoint Christian’s 8-man football team will get its first taste of action Saturday at 10 a.m. when it hosts four schools for a jamboree.

Included in the five teams participating are the Warriors, Calvary Christian, Marina, Pinewood and Crystal Springs.

For Anchorpoint coach K.C. Adams, the event should give him and the coaching staff a good idea of how the season will play out. Right now he says he has no idea what to expect. The goal is simple, though.

“Our main goal is to be better than we were last year,” Adams said.

In its first season of 8-man, Anchorpoint put together a 6-2 record while going undefeated in the Coastal Athletic League.
