DEAR EDITOR:
It’s one level of moral depravity for the head of bankrupt
Sierra Valley Bus Lines to tell Gilroy the benefits of socialist
transport, and a whole different level of it to hear the head of
bankrupt VTA teach that brand of Marxist-Leninist policy to us.
DEAR EDITOR:
It’s one level of moral depravity for the head of bankrupt Sierra Valley Bus Lines to tell Gilroy the benefits of socialist transport, and a whole different level of it to hear the head of bankrupt VTA teach that brand of Marxist-Leninist policy to us.
While the law did eventually catch and punish felon Chris Cote, who will stop Don Gage when the Congress and our legislature encourage small business killing publicly-owned transport? Like an insatiable black hole, VTA and the public-sector unions would have taxpayers also support the bullet train, too. And then what; will their demands end there, or will they want more sacrifices from the private sector? Where do we draw the line? Small business and taxpayers can only tolerate so many leeches before a fatal dosage is applied. Gas taxes paid by motorists that public-sector transit feast off will, under Supervisor Gage’s insane policy, dry-up as motorists hop on board his USSR-type transit. Bullet train tax demands will be extra one top of what we already subsidize. To feed his insatiable black hole, he’s going to have to jack-up traffic impact fees on housing, business, etc., and increase sales taxes, too.
They are intent in making us a socialist state like France, Germany, etc., while forsaking our free enterprise capitalist roots. Compounding bankrupt public transit with bullet train, which UP will not permit on its tracks, is a nightmare for small business and taxpayers that will grow to ruin America for our children and grandchildren. The law has remedies for felons like Cote, but where can we find relief from radical socialists like our former mayor?
Caveat Viator!
Joe Thompson, Gilroy
