Theater company performs ‘Li’l Abner’
Gilroy – The Odyssey Theater Co. of Gilroy High School will stage its first performance of the musical “Li’l Abner” at 8pm Friday.
The group will also perform at 8pm on the following dates: Aug. 18, 19, 25, 26 and Sept. 8 and 9 and Aug. 20 and Aug. 27 at 4pm.
The musical will be performed in the Gilroy High School theater.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students/seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at BookSmart in Morgan Hill or at 333-9065.
Free movie night in downtown Gilroy
Gilroy – Bring your chairs and your popcorn bowl and join us for “Disorderly Orderly,” starring Jerry Lewis.
The movie starts at 7pm tonight and will be shown in the parking lot of Eigleberry Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. The movie and popcorn are free.
Movie night will be held each Wednesday evening through Sept. 20.

Find hidden gems at flea market
Gilroy – Antique dealers, produce stores and a variety of other downtown business owners will hold outdoor flea markets despite major construction along Monterey Street.
The events, held on the first and third Saturdays of the month through October, will rotate between two parking lots off Eigleberry Street, between Fourth and Sixth streets, from 8:30am to 3pm.

San Martin – SMNA is holding its 4th annual ‘Happy Days Car Show’ from 11am to 5pm, Saturday, at the San Martin Country Park, 13865 Monterey Road.
Free parking, food, popcorn and ice cream, raffle/silent auction items, petting zoo, vendors and music of the JJ Hawg and the Usual Suspects.
There is a $5 admission.

Waterfalls and wildlife hike
Morgan Hill – Explore canyon waterfalls and wildlife on this two-mile hike with a ranger at Uvas Canyon County Park Sunday, from 10am to noon. Bring sturdy hiking shoes, sun protection, water. Meet at the day-use parking lot. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle.
