Rita Campos, convicted of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in
the death of Gilroy cyclist Bruce Finch, will be sentenced
Wednesday.

Campos, 61 of Morgan Hill, faces a maximum sentence of one year in Santa Clara County Jail for the misdemeanor charge.
She was convicted by a jury at South County Courthouse in May. She does not yet know if she will appeal the jury’s decision to convict her.
In May, the jury found that Campos drove negligently when her Honda Civic struck Finch at the intersection of Uvas and Little Uvas roads in west Morgan Hill.
