A man who blew through a stop sign Sunday at 4:20 p.m. at Columbet and Masten avenues ended up in the hospital after his Toyota pickup went off the road, through a fence and into an unoccupied house, according to the CHP.
Carlos Joseph Lujan, 61, had to be extricated from the car by emergency workers. He was taken by air ambulance to San Jose Regional Hospital. At the hospital, he was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.  Due to the extent of his injuries, he was released to the care and custody of San Jose Regional Hospital and not booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
