Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors is slated to weigh in on a proposed $4.9 billion budget and establish funding priorities and levels for County services by the end of this week.
County Executive Jeffrey V. Smith’s recommended Budget for fiscal year 2015 begins July 1 and includes all services, operations, capital improvements and reserves. The County Executive’s recommended General Fund budget is $2.57 billion, which covers all discretionary and many mandated services for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014. In the recommended budget, Smith recommends the allocation of $34.3 million in available resources.

Budget meetings will be held June 16, 17, 18 and 20 at the Board Chambers, County Government Center, 70 W. Hedding St., San Jose. Go to sccgov.org for more information.
